I am not a very wise person. The first evidence I would like to present is the time that I erased, on my 7th grade report card, my "C" in Social Studies and replaced it with an "A." It was clear that the report card had been edited. When questioned by my mother, I denied any involvement and acted incensed that she would even entertain such a thought. I even said, "If you don't believe me, then you can call the school!" to which she replied, "That's a good idea." Yeah, that was not wise on my part. I was removed from the basketball team, and my dad applied the board of education to the seat of my pants.
I don't know that I am much wiser today, but I do believe in the power of wisdom. I read this morning in Prov 19:8, "He who gets wisdom loves his own soul; he who cherishes understanding prospers." So true, and good, and beautiful.
